Our Vision

A flood-resilient Bangladesh where every community at risk receives a warning in time to act.

We envision an early-warning system that is basin-aware, transboundary in outlook, and trusted at every level — from the ministry to the char.

Where we are heading

  • Seamless coupling of rainfall, runoff and river-routing models across the full GBM system.
  • Longer, more reliable lead times through ensemble and satellite-based inputs.
  • Open, map-based access to forecasts for agencies, researchers and the public.
  • Integration of climate projections so today's infrastructure is planned for tomorrow's hydrology.
Rivers do not respect borders. Our long-term vision depends on cooperative data-sharing across the basin's riparian nations.
